Selectman Burt called the meeting to order at 2:30.
Tax Title Property Review
Ms. Vanderhoef noted that in the packet is a listing of properties the town has taken for tax title. Ms. Vanderhoef also noted that the size is sometimes unknown due to lack of a deed or any sort of paperwork on the acquisitions. She noted that this list is part of the larger project of identifying all town owned property and their potential uses. Selectman McDonald suggested getting a map illustrating the location of these properties.
Selectman Martin questioned how complete this list is. Ms. Vanderhoef noted that this is everything the town has on record. Selectman Martin suggested categorizing the list and establishing a timetable for completion of the project.
Ms. Vanderhoef also noted that the Board may wish to revisit the usage agreement with Nauset Rod and Gun Club which operates their facility on town property. Ms. Vanderhoef also noted that the Board may wish to address the issue of people using town property to access the water. Selectman Martin questioned if all the staircases on the Cape Cod Bay side are town owned. Ms. Vanderhoef responded that only the ones at the end of public roads are. Ms. Vanderhoef noted that she will bring this back to the Board upon accumulation of more information.
Selectman McDonald made a motion to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of land acquisition and not to return to Public Session at 3:00 p.m. The motion was seconded by Selectman Schropfer. Selectman Burt, yes; Selectman McDonald, yes; Selectman Schropfer, yes; Selectman Collins, yes; Selectman Martin, yes.
