Board of Selectman Minutes
Wednesday July 25, 2007-1:00 p.m
Work Session-Began at Police Station Conference Room and continued in the Timothy Smith Room.

Selectman Burt called the meeting to order at 1:10 p.m.
I. PUBLIC/SELECTMAN’S INFORMATION
No issues brought up.
II. WORK SESSION
Municipal Water- Discussion- WRAB/WWMPC at Police Station
Dr. Karl Weiss, Chairman of the Eastham Water Resources Advisory Board, Jane Crowley, Town of Eastham Health Agent, Glenn Olson, Eastham Fire Chief, and other interested parties were present to discuss municipal water issues.
The discussion centered on the key questions and issues brought up by citizens at the May 2007 Town Meeting regarding the implementation of the Municipal Water Plan. Discussed was how to go about putting together a document that answers those questions and how best to disseminate this information to the public before the Special Town Meeting at the Nauset High School on October 1, 2007.
Glenn Olson, Fire Chief, noted that with the implementation of Municipal Water, the town’s insurance rating will change for the better from a rating of nine (9) to a seven (7). He also expressed that installing water hydrants will help greatly, making the fighting of fires less labor intensive.
It was expressed that a draft of the document be done by Friday August 3, 2007 and that Committee members should e-mail their draft documents to Mike Ferreira who will compile the document.

Minutes Policy Discussion
The Board discussed the updated Minutes Policy and made suggestions for changes. The minutes policy will be discussed at the August 6, 2007 Board of Selectman’s meeting, and if no issues arise, will be signed by the Selectmen and put into effect.
Board of Selectmen – Committee Liaison List- to be Updated
The Board members decided who of the Selectmen will be assigned as liaisons to town Committees, Boards, and Commissions.

Selectmen McDonald made a motion to go into Executive Session at 3:15 p.m. for a discussion on litigation and personnel issues and not return to public session.Selectman Burt yes; Selectman McDonald yes; Selectman Schropfer yes; Selectman Collins yes; Selectman Martin yes.
