A. Administrators’ Reports
Due to the school vacation, the Principal’s Report will be distributed at the meeting.
B. Town Meeting Preparation
Linda Medeiros will join us to discuss the Committee’s strategy for Town Meeting.
C. Study of Central Office Administration
I suggest the Committee consider devoting a portion of each of its next five meetings to discussions of the responsibilities of each Central Office Administrator. We could begin in May with the Assistant Superintendent, with whose work you are quite familiar. Mrs. Hyland could join us in June to discuss the responsibilities of our Business Manager. If this format is acceptable, I will prepare a schedule.
D. Consider Policy at Second Reading
Policy 3161 – Textbook and Curriculum Modules Selection and Adoption should be adopted at second reading.
Recommendation: Adopt Policy 3161 at Second Reading.
E. Consider School Choice
School Choice loses money for the receiving communities once students enter the regional schools, since we are not fully regionalized.
Recommendation: Vote not to participate in School Choice for 2007-08.
F. Set May Meeting Date
The normal May meeting date falls on Election Day, May 15. The easiest solution would be to postpone until May 22.
