Expanded Recycling for Plastics at Transfer Station
EXPANDED RECYCLING FOR PLASTICS

The Town of Eastham now accepts Plastics 1 – 7 for recycling at the Transfer Station (previously the Town accepted only Plastics 1 & 2). The Plastic code number can be found within the triangle on the item.

Recycling these items is good for the environment, reduces our Country’s demand for the oil used to make virgin plastic, and saves Eastham residents tax dollars.

When plastic is thrown in the trash, Eastham pays to transport and dispose of the items at SEMASS. When the plastic item is recycled, a vendor picks up the plastic at the transfer station at no cost to the Town.
