Eastham's Windmill Weekend, an annual community festival, fair and family party all rolled into one, takes place the weekend following Labor Day, Friday through Sunday, September 5-7, 2008. This year's theme is "Those Fabulous 50s'".
Events take place throughout Eastham and include a sand art competition, road races, chowder contest, band concerts, arts and craft show, vehicle show, children's games, tricycle race and square dancing.
Continuous local entertainment is held on the Green both Saturday and Sunday. Freddie and the Maybellines perform on Saturday.
Most of the town's museums and historical buildings are hosting open houses and tours on Saturday; on Sunday, you can tour the Three Sisters Lighthouses and Nauset Light.
Sunday's parade begins at 1:00 p.m. at Brackett Road and includes bands, groups, fire trucks, floats and antique cars.
